Chiara Ligi

Chiara Ligi is a researcher and lecturer at Politecnico di Milano. As a member of Imagis Lab, her research activities deal with audiovisual language, interactive and participatory storytelling, and digital media. She is committed to fostering social inclusion through action-research projects in marginalized contexts, recently in prison environments. Embracing relational and participative approaches, she explores narrative-driven processes, interactive and immersive experiences, and collaborative forms of creation. With Imagis Lab, she's also part of Laboratorio Carcere, an interdisciplinary research group operating in Off Campus San Vittore, inside the Casa Circondariale di Milano San Vittore "Francesco di Cataldo" prison.
She is also a creative producer and multimedia artist. With Tokonoma, she realizes video installations, interactive works, and immersive exhibitions, such as Historical Voices from the Minett (FNR Award 2021 for Outstanding Promotion of Science to the Public), Remixing industrial pasts, and Moving Lusitalia (included in the ADI Design Index 2023).
For years, she has been experimenting with live cinema with the Film-Live Association, including CenacoloLive (Da Vinci's Last Supper Museum).
She is also a lecturer at the Civica Scuola di Cinema "Luchino Visconti" in New media design and interactive storytelling.
