I have been Associate Professor of Design at Politecnico di Milano since 2015, after an 8-year period at Lancaster University, where I helped found the ImaginationLancaster research center.

My research has been dedicated to the foundation and development of the disciplinary field of service design, with a focus on the public sector and healthcare. In recent years I have developed several collaborations and projects in the field of mental health, including the recent concluded project funded by Fondazione Cariplo, Recovery.Net, which led to the creation of territorial co-labs (CoLab Torre Cimabue in Brescia), recognized as innovative projects by the Lombardy Region.

Another strand of my study concerns multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary collaboration with the related research areas of service research and service science, where the contribution of Design is gaining an increasingly important role.

Since 2022 I have been coordinator of the Master's Degree Course in Product Service System Design.
