The Research Project POD (Plurisensorial Device to Prevent Occupational Disease) aims at exploiting new technologies for safety: smart and safe working environments.
Its objective is to improve both productivity and workers’ wellbeing and autonomy, to foresee concept development and pilot tests of novel uses of existing technologies for safety management in smart working environments.

POD aims at creating a wearable interface for monitoring the workers’ health status and surrounding environment potential risk sources, giving him/her useful real time information and/or alarms, as well as allowing data transmission with a body gateway enabling to share information and a possible high level risk management service.
