12 November, 3 p.m., at the Coltivando community garden, via Candiani 72, Campus Bovisa, Milan
We are pleased to invite you to the inauguration of the Green Island/Alveari Urbani project, which will take place on Saturday 12 November at 3 p.m. at Coltivando, the convivial garden at Campus Durando.
For the first time, ten years after the launch of the first Coltivando box, bees will be arriving: they have always been there, but now they will have a new home thanks to the installation of the "Nido d'Ape", a series of small hives for solitary bees (osmie) conceived by the planning and design studio Caracol. Totally environmentally friendly, the material used, 3D printed, is derived from the processing of sugars of natural origin (beets, maize, sugar cane).
The event will be attended by Claudia Zanfi of Green Island, who will explain all the details of the project in use.
Project in collaboration with the Environmental Sustainable Unit of AGIS - Politecnico di Milano and Department of Design - Polimi Desis Lab
