Biennale Internazionale Grafica (BIG) is a widespread festival dedicated to communication design and visual cultures.
Four days of exhibitions, installations, talks, workshops, social projects and evening events spread throughout the city, starting from the main hub in the Certosa district of Milan, together with the ADI Design Museum, in collaboration with important Milanese cultural institutions and realities, including museums, schools, art galleries, archives, studios and bookshops.
The teachers and researchers of the Department of Design participate in the event with a series of initiatives:

Valeria Bucchetti, Cinzia Ferrara, Carlo Martino, Paolo Tamborrini, referees of the "Design della comunicazione" research group of SID (Società Italiana di Design) will discuss the theme together with young researchers on the forms of experimentation that the university promotes to support the evolutionary lines of the discipline.

BOOK PRESENTATION 'Fonderia Fonti Nebiolo, 1878-1978. New critical studies"

The Nebiolo History Project (NHP) group - composed of Alessandro Colizzi, Riccardo Olocco, James Clough, Riccardo De Franceschi, Marta Bernstein and Massimo Gonzato - will present the volume "Fonderia Fonti Nebiolo, 1878-1978. New critical studies' (Lazy Dog Press, 2023).
Aimed at scholars, graphic designers, typographers and enthusiasts, the publication is rich in images and well-documented testimonies. It collects contributions in the original language by Italian and foreign authors and aims to give new impetus to historical research on the Nebiolo Society of Turin, Italy's most important typeface foundry, and its heritage.
