February 21-22, 2024, Headquarters of FederlegnoArredo, Foro Buonaparte, 65, Milan
On the 21st and 22nd of February, the kick-off meeting of CirCLER will take place in Milan. CirCLER, "Circular Economy Transition Manager: guiding companies of the furniture value chain to deploy their transition strategy for a more circular economy", is a project co-financed by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ programme.
The project, spanning 3 years, is coordinated by AMBIT, involves 16 partners from 8 European countries, and is supported by 18 other international entities.
The Department of Design will participate as a Full Partner, with Mauro Ceconello as the scientific coordinator, collaborating with James Christopher Postell, Davide Spallazzo, and Carlo Proserpio.
CirCLER aims to promote the transition to a circular economy in the furniture sector in the European Union, addressing the lack of the professional profile of the CETM, Circular Economy Transition Manager, and the required training. The project will provide new joint curricula for CETM at various qualification levels and an innovative training kit available in 7 European languages. This kit will include multimedia and interactive materials, enabling vocational training providers and higher education institutions to train professionals capable of leading the circular transition in the furniture sector.
CirCLER aims to improve national systems of education and vocational training, meet skill needs, engage key stakeholders, and enhance the resilience of the furniture sector as it transitions to a circular economy.
